So here’s the deal, on Sunday I rotated departments from Front Office to the bar. The bar manager (her name’s Sao) is absolutely crazy and hit me for stuff that wasn’t my fault / I didn’t do. Even if I had done something wrong she has no right to hit me.
Anyway, here’s the story
[16:35:30] Roberto Broçe: 2 days ago some guests came up to me telling me they wanted the drink of the week called “Passion in Green”. I didn’t know how to do it so I asked my coworkers and they told me the procedure and the ingredients but the missed one ingredient, the passion fruit.
[16:35:33] Roberto Broçe: so i made the drink for the guests without the passion fruit and they loved it
[16:35:37] Roberto Broçe: and they ordered 10 of them
[16:35:47] Roberto Broçe: anyway, i did it only for them
[16:35:57] Roberto Broçe: then at night the manager comes (she’s not there in the daytime)
[16:36:05] Roberto Broçe: and she yells at me because i forgot the passion fruit
[16:36:15] Roberto Broçe: so i go up to them and tell em that i’m sorry the original drink is with passion fruit
[16:36:23] Roberto Broçe: they said it was ok they don’t like passion fruit anyway
[16:36:56] Roberto Broçe: that’s one
[16:37:04] Roberto Broçe: 2. The same people asked me for an ashtray
[16:37:15] Roberto Broçe: I asked my coworkers for an ashtray and they give me one
[16:38:31] Roberto Broçe: Then at night, the manager tells me they can’t smoke
[16:38:33] Roberto Broçe: no wait
[16:38:37] Roberto Broçe: she doesn’t tell me
[16:38:42] Roberto Broçe: she YELLS at me that they can’t smoke
[16:38:57] Roberto Broçe: i tried to tell her i had no idea cause none of my coworkers told me
[16:39:03] Roberto Broçe: but she wouldnt listen
[16:39:08] Roberto Broçe: then the 3rd and biggest one
[16:39:21] Roberto Broçe: 3. 5 mins before happy hour ended these guests wanted a long island ice tea
[16:39:41] Roberto Broçe: so i go up to the manager and tell her that they want a long island iced tea
[16:39:54] Roberto Broçe: then she tells me the happy hour is over and the bar is closed
[16:40:01] Roberto Broçe: so i go up to the guest and tell him it’s closed
[16:40:17] Roberto Broçe: then he looks at his watch and tells me that it’s still 5 mins missing, and i tell him that’s what my manager told me
[16:40:26] Roberto Broçe: then he asked me to bring her to him cause he wanted to talk to her
[16:40:31] Roberto Broçe: so he talks to her
[16:40:50] Roberto Broçe: and afterwards she takes me to the kitchen and starts YELLING AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS stuff like
[16:41:04] Roberto Broçe: “I DONT KNOW WHAT YOU TOLD THEM BUT THEY WERE REALLY ANGRY AT ME” blah blah blah
[16:41:12] Roberto Broçe: and she started yelling at me again about the ashtray and the drink
[16:41:43] Roberto Broçe: so she tells me stuff like
[16:41:54] Roberto Broçe: “YOU CAN’T WORK FOR ME ANYMORE, LEAVE! GO!”
[16:42:14] Roberto Broçe: Anyway, next day I get changed to another bar where she is not
[16:42:47] Sylvia: so at which point she hit u?
[16:42:50] Roberto Broçe: no no
[16:42:52] Roberto Broçe: she hit me today
[16:42:56] Sylvia: why?
[16:42:58] Roberto Broçe: that was just building up the story
[16:42:59] Roberto Broçe: wait
[16:43:03] Sylvia: okayyy
[16:43:06] Roberto Broçe: today
[16:43:07] Sylvia: go onn
[16:43:17] Roberto Broçe: i was learning how to do some drinks
[16:43:22] Roberto Broçe: and there were these girls there
[16:43:30] Roberto Broçe: so i asked them so try the drink and tell me if it’s okay (they only sipped it.)
[16:43:37] Roberto Broçe: that’s one
[16:44:00] Roberto Broçe: then the 2nd one (i recognize this was my fault) i entered the bar not by the door but by the bar (like, i jumped it)
[16:44:18] Roberto Broçe: it was on the same level as the floor for the restaurant so i just walked over the bar
[16:44:25] Roberto Broçe: now, i understand that last one was my fauly
[16:44:27] Roberto Broçe: *fault
[16:44:38] Roberto Broçe: but then she saw me doing that and she called me over to the kitchen
[16:44:44] Roberto Broçe: (cause she was walking by)
[16:45:04] Roberto Broçe: and starts really YELLING and I mean YELLING to me that I can’t give free drinks to guests and I can’t walk over the bar like that
[16:45:18] Roberto Broçe: and tells me I cannot come close to the bars and I cannot make drinks or else I’m DEAD
[16:45:42] Roberto Broçe: She’s telling me that the restaurant manager already told me that I couldn’t give guests drinks for free for them to try (LIES.)
[16:45:48] Roberto Broçe: And I’m like “LET ME EXPLAIN…”
[16:45:52] Roberto Broçe: and that’s when she hits me
And it’s not an innocent slap, she hits me in the middle of the face with her open hand, kind of like pushing my face. After she hits me like three different types of demons crawl into my body and I go crazy, yelling at her stuff like “THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU CRAZY BITCH?” and she sees me getting aggressive, grabs a glass and was going to throw it at me.
After that happened I left and went directly to the Front Office manager, told her what happened and afterwards I did a written complaint, the security cameras caught her hitting me and I explained the situation to the security guards and some Human Resources people, tomorrow I’m talking to the HR manager and the F&B manager.
I’m not resting until I see her fired.
